Terms of Service

Welcome to The Pulse LLC. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and [The Pulse, LLC], a Delaware limited liability company (“The Pulse LLC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The Terms govern your access to and use of our website, mobile experiences, databases, and any related products or services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

The Service is designed for individuals lawfully residing in the United States. While the Service may be accessible elsewhere, the data and roles surfaced are intended for US-based recruiting and we make no representation that the Service complies with the laws of other jurisdictions.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information at signup.
• Promptly notify us at thepulseprep@gmail.com of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Not share your account credentials, sell access, or use a single account to provide access to multiple individuals.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe to be shared, resold, or used in violation of these Terms.

We currently offer two annual subscription products:

• Undergrad Premium — billed at $65 per year.
• Buyside Premium — billed at $299 per year.

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Stripe, Inc., our payment processor. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide for the listed price, plus any applicable taxes.

Auto-renewal. Annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will attempt to notify you by email before renewal where required by law. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us — see Section 06.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices from time to time. New prices will not apply to your current paid term and will take effect only at your next renewal, after we provide reasonable advance notice.

We sell certain career services on a per-purchase basis, including resume reviews and one-on-one coaching sessions, individually and in bundles. These are billed once at the time of purchase and are not subscription products.

Coaching sessions must be scheduled and used within twelve (12) months of purchase unless otherwise noted at the time of sale. Sessions are non-transferable.

Coaches and reviewers are independent contractors selected by The Pulse LLC. We do not guarantee any specific outcome — including, without limitation, any specific job offer, interview, or recruiting result — from the use of any coaching or review service.

Subscriptions. You may cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation stops your subscription from renewing at the end of your current paid term; access continues until that term ends.

If you cancel within seven (7) days of your initial purchase and have not made meaningful use of the Service, we will refund your subscription fee on request. After that window, subscription fees are non-refundable.

Resume reviews. Fully refundable if requested before work begins. Once a reviewer has been assigned and started work, fees are non-refundable.

Coaching sessions. Individual sessions are fully refundable if cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours, or no-shows, are non-refundable. Completed sessions are non-refundable. Bundles purchased at a discount are refundable on a pro-rated basis for unused sessions, at the non-bundled per-session rate.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial recruiting and career-prep purposes.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, copy, reproduce, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk by any automated means.
• Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or otherwise make the Service or its content available to any third party.
• Use the Service to build a competing product, dataset, or service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
• Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information; impersonate any person; or violate any applicable law in your use of the Service.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of it.

Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of your account without refund and may give rise to civil or criminal liability.

All content available on the Service — including but not limited to recruiting databases, application links, headhunter contacts, case studies, LBO models, templates, written guides, video content, designs, software, and trademarks — is owned by The Pulse LLC or its licensors and is protected by US and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (for example, a resume submitted for review). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content solely to provide the Service to you.

The Service may link to or rely on third-party services — including Stripe (payments), Calendly (scheduling), and external employer application portals. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party service. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that recruiting data will be complete, current, accurate, or uninterrupted. Application deadlines, contact information, and posted roles change frequently and you are responsible for verifying any information directly with the employer before relying on it.

The Pulse LLC does not guarantee any particular career outcome. Use of the Service does not guarantee an interview, an offer, or any specific recruiting result.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will The Pulse LLC, its officers, employees, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms and the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid to The Pulse LLC in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Pulse LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party right.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason in our sole discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Class action waiver. You and The Pulse LLC agree that any claim will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice — for example, by email or by posting a notice on the Service — before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
